Hi all, having my first round of golimumab this coming Thursday and got a nurse coming round to administer the first one. Its by epipen I think, so hoping that this works. Feeling a bit nervous but just so hoping it works!

Sorry havent been on for a while, my son has been poorly and just been diagnosed with Crohns this morning, so this has overshadowed everything really. He's ok, glad now that he knows what he has and he can deal with it.

Hope you are all well and keeping warm.

Love Heather

Heather

I am waiting to start on this. I am hoping my starting date will be soon but my local authority have decided to offer this new drug to a different homecare provider, so we are waiting for contracts to be signed etc and I will be the first one in Shropshire to try this.

This will be my third anti-tnf after failing on Enbrel and Humira. I have had bad reactions to both of these and also Rituximab. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Simponi will be my saviour.

I would be interested to know how you get on with this and good luck on Thursday.

Jackie

Hi all thanks so much for the replies. My son is very upbeat and positive (he's 21 in April) and determined that this disease is not going to beat him. He's on medication and steroids and is going back to work tomorrow. I would take it in a heartbeat for him if I could!

Will post back on thursday when Ive had the first treatment.

Keep well

Heather xxxx
